Syrskiy had his first conversation with the NATO commander in Europe.


The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskiy, spoke by phone on Wednesday, July 16, with the new commander of NATO Allied Forces in Europe, U.S. Air Force General Alex Grinkevich. Syrskiy wrote on Telegram that Grinkevich assured him of continued support for Ukraine.

'The conversation took place in the spirit of true partnership. I received firm commitments for support from both America and the Alliance,'emphasized Syrskiy.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, after the statements of U.S. President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about a new weapons package for Ukraine, enhanced cooperation is expected in the coming months.
'I am sincerely grateful for the support of the Defense Forces of Ukraine,'added the Commander-in-Chief.
It is worth noting that Syrskiy recently met with the commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia, Kaspars Pudans, who was in Ukraine on a working visit.

Ukrainian General Syrskiy spoke with the new NATO commander regarding support and cooperation following promises of a new weapons package for Ukraine from American and Alliance leaders. The developments are perceived positively and as a step towards strengthening the country's defense capability.
