Another country after the USA and Britain armed itself with Tomahawk missiles.

Australia has taken the Tomahawk missile into its arsenal, becoming the third country
The Royal Australian Navy has successfully launched a Tomahawk missile, and it is now part of the country's arsenal. This has been made possible by the destroyer HMAS Brisbane, which fired the missile off the west coast of the USA.
The Hobart-class destroyer HMAS Brisbane successfully launched the Tomahawk missile during trials and assessments conducted off the west coast of the USA.
Australia joins the ranks of three countries that have Tomahawk missiles in their arsenal. Previously, this capability was held only by the USA and Britain. According to Australia's Minister of Defense, these missiles will help ensure the country's security and protect Australians from any potential threats.
Minister Richard Marles emphasized that the country is strengthening its defense capabilities in the military sphere by collaborating with partners. He stressed that no nation will be able to gain advantages from conflict, as Australia will always stand to defend its security.
It is planned that Australia will have over 200 Tomahawk missiles deployed on various military platforms, including Hobart-class destroyers and Virginia-class submarines. Additionally, depending on the technical and economic justification, the missiles may be placed on Hunter-class frigates.
The news about the armament with Tomahawks was accompanied by another important piece of information - Ukraine will receive military aid from Australia amounting to $245 million. In particular, dozens of Abrams tanks will be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, significantly enhancing their firepower and mobility.
The Minister of Defense Industry, Pat Conroy, stated that Australia supports Ukraine in its struggle against Russia's illegal invasion. He emphasized that these tanks will complement the support provided by other partners to Ukrainian armored brigades and will provide more capabilities for the country's defense.
Overall, Australia has defined its position in supporting Ukraine and allocated the largest package of military aid since the beginning of the conflict.
