The tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump could have a positive impact on Ukrainian corn producers. According to Reuters, Ukrainian corn, which is a key element of the country's grain sector, could replace American corn if sanctions are imposed against it. The analytical agency ASAP Agri claims that major importers will look to alternative suppliers that are not subject to the tariffs. Ukrainian corn has competitive advantages such as affordable pricing, stable logistics, and connections to EU and Asian markets. Additionally, Brazil will not be able to meet all global demands, so Ukraine could take its place in the market. The introduction of Trump's tariffs will also affect the exchange rate of the dollar and prices for products in Ukraine.
