Drones attacked the workshop of a defense factory in Tula

In the night of May 22, drones attacked the workshop of the defense factory NPO 'Splav', which is part of the state corporation 'Rostec' in the Russian city of Tula. The enterprise specializes in the production of multiple launch rocket systems, aviation missiles, heavy flamethrower systems, and ammunition for them. This was reported by 'Glavcom' citing the Russian Telegram channel Astra.

It is noted that as a result of the debris from the UAV falling on the territory of the enterprise, a fire broke out. The electrical substation also suffered damage, where a fire ignited.

Incidents in Tula and occupied Crimea

Interestingly, just a few days before the incident, on May 19, President of Russia Vladimir Putin awarded four employees of 'Splav' with Zhukov prizes for their significant contribution to the creation of weapons and military equipment.

By the way, this is not the first case of an attack on defense complex facilities in Tula. In particular, on the night of May 7, a fire was also observed in the area of the 'Splav' factory, which was recorded by local residents. Nearby is the joint-stock company 'Design Bureau of Instrument Engineering', which is engaged in the development of high-precision weapons.

The Saransk factory for fiber optic production also came under drone attacks. A massive fire broke out there. This is the only fiber optic production factory in Russia. Its first hit was on April 5.

Earlier, occupied Crimea suffered a massive drone attack. Explosions were heard in various areas of the peninsula. Due to the threat, the occupation authorities suspended sea transport and closed the Crimean bridge. The Russian side claims that strikes were made on Crimea with Neptune-type missiles, which were supposedly successfully intercepted.

Attacks on defense complex enterprises in Tula and Crimea indicate an escalation of the situation in these regions. Despite the restoration of relations with Ukraine and the signing of peace agreements, the conflict remains relevant and continues to erupt at specific points.
