This income consisted of salary, bonuses for victories, and fees for participation in Euro 2020. 30% of these bonuses and premiums went to the coaching staff, which Shevchenko distributed. In total, over five years at the helm of the national team of Ukraine, he earned about 15 million euros. In addition, he had personal contracts with a household goods store and a betting company, for which he received additional money.

Under Shevchenko's leadership, the national team of Ukraine played 52 matches: won 25, drew 13, and suffered 14 losses.
