According to updated data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupiers have suffered losses as of the morning of December 17, 2024.

As of December 17, the RF has suffered the following losses:
- Personnel - about 765,110 (+1600) people.
- Tanks - 9567 (+4) units.
- Armored fighting vehicles - 19,751 (+15) units.
- Artillery systems - 21,159 (+8) units.
- MLRS - 1256 (+0) units.
- Air defense systems - 1025 (+0) units.
- Aircraft - 369 (+0) units.
- Helicopters - 329 (+0) units.
- Operational-tactical level UAVs - 20,406 (+34) units.
- Missiles - 2943 (+0) units.
- Ships / Boats - 28 (+0) units.
- Submarines - 1 (+0) unit.
- Vehicles and tank trucks - 31,550 (+70) units.
- Special equipment - 3650 (+0) units.
Report on the activity of the occupiers' fleet as of December 17
- In the Black Sea, enemy ships are absent.
- In the Sea of Azov, enemy ships are absent.
- In the Mediterranean Sea, six enemy ships are registered, including three carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles capable of launching up to 25 missiles.
Report on the passage through the Kerch Strait over the past day
- One convoy of vessels headed for the Black Sea, two of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
- Six vessels headed for the Sea of Azov, three of which passed through the Bosporus Strait.
Russia continues to violate the International Convention SOLAS, disabling automatic identification systems (AIS), which pertains to the safety of life at sea.
Currently, the 1028th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine is ongoing.
