Potential opponents of the women's national team of Ukraine at the 3x3 basketball world championship have been determined.


Last spots for the 3x3 world championship
The women's teams of Brazil, Latvia, and Chile secured the last three spots for Mongolia at the world championship following the qualifying tournament held over the weekend in Baku, Azerbaijan. This was reported by 'Hlavkom' citing the FBU.
The world championship will take place from June 23-29 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. A total of 20 men's and women's teams will compete there. Initially, the hosts and the top 16 teams according to the world ranking qualified for the world championship (including the women's national team of Ukraine). The final spots were contested at the qualifying tournament.
The participants of the women's world championship include: China, Netherlands, France, Spain, Germany, Canada, USA, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Mongolia, Ukraine, Austria, Japan, Australia, Madagascar, Brazil, Latvia, Chile.

On FIBA's decisions review
As reported, the executive committee of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has extended the suspension of Russian and Belarusian clubs and national teams from competitions.
The decision was made at the meeting of the organization's executive committee in Bahrain.
'The status of Russia and Belarus has been extended until the next FIBA executive committee meeting, which will take place in August 2025,' the statement said.
In 2022, FIBA suspended the teams of Russia and Belarus from participating in competitions organized by the organization due to Russian aggression against Ukraine. The ban on participation in competitions also applies at the club level.

The national teams of Brazil, Latvia, and Chile have claimed the last spots for participation in the 3x3 basketball world championship among women’s teams.
