The government launches a housing rental subsidy program for IDPs in nine regions.

The Government of Ukraine decided to launch an experimental project to provide housing subsidies for internally displaced persons in nine regions of the country.
According to information from People's Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko ("European Solidarity"), the program covers Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kherson regions.
Main conditions for receiving the subsidy:
- The rental agreement must be formalized and registered in a special base of the Pension Fund
- The normal housing area is 13.65 sq. m per person (minimum 35.22 sq. m per family)
- The subsidy is provided if the family’s rental expenses exceed 30% of the total income
It is important to note that receiving a housing rental subsidy will not affect the opportunity to arrange a subsidy for utility services.
The program is aimed at supporting internally displaced persons and improving their housing conditions in regions most affected by military aggression.
We also remind you how to receive a housing subsidy without leaving your home.
