Ukrzaliznytsia resumes online sales of passenger tickets
The company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has fully resumed online sales of passenger tickets after a large-scale technical failure. Now, ticket purchasing functions for both direct connections and transfers are available on the website and in the mobile application. This was reported by the company's press service.
In addition, planning trips with transfers and the online timetable with train schedules at stations have also become accessible again.
It is worth noting that there are currently no lines at the station ticket offices, despite previous huge queues that occurred on March 23. At that Time, it was reported that the website and application of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' were affected by a targeted cyberattack. The company's technical experts are collaborating with the cyber department of the Security Service of Ukraine regarding this incident. Now, after 89 hours of continuous work, the website and application have been restored and can again accept ticket orders.
'Ukrzaliznytsia' has also announced the launch of ticket sales for long-distance trains at suburban ticket offices and the continuation of the operating schedule of these offices.
