Ukrainian women's sitting volleyball players won bronze medals at the Champions Cup held in Pisa, Italy. The Ukrainians confidently defeated the teams from Hungary and Slovenia with scores of 3:0 in the group stage, but lost to the team from Italy with a score of 1:3 in the semifinals. In the third-place match, they beat the team from Hungary with a score of 3:0. Additionally, the winners of the best athletes and coaches of the month were announced. Serhiy Kulish was named the best athlete for his successful participation in the European Championship in shooting, Yehor Yakushenko - the best young athlete for the gold medal in the European Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling, Viktor Nahniy - the best coach of the year, and Mykola Yelarinov - the best coach of the young athlete of the year. The best team of the month was also awarded - the Ukrainian freestyle team. The participants won a silver medal at the World Championship.
