In Great Britain, 10,000 civil servants may lose their jobs.

Great Britain plans to reduce the number of civil servants
The UK's Finance Minister Rachel Reeves has announced that the government intends to reduce the number of civil servants due to economic issues. According to her, approximately 10,000 people may be left without jobs. This information was reported by Sky News.
“I am confident that we can reduce the number of civil servants by 10,000 people,” said Reeves.
Reeves noted that some functions previously performed by officials can now be carried out using technology. According to her, these technologies are already helping to combat fraud and corruption.
“Each department will independently determine its plans. But I would prefer that people work in our schools, hospitals, and police, rather than in offices,” said the minister.
As part of the optimization, expenses on employee travel, consultants, and communications will also be reduced.
“During the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of civil servants significantly increased. This was the right response to temporary challenges. But it is wrong that we simply maintain these figures,” Reeves concluded.
It was previously known that Great Britain is considering sending Typhoon fighters to Ukraine. These fighters belong to the British Royal Air Force and can provide air cover for the peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine.
In addition, Prince William, during his visit to Estonia, visited the Tapa training ground, located 120 kilometers from the border with the Russian Federation, and rode in a Challenger 2 tank.
