The Sumy Regional Military Administration denied information about a possible evacuation of the city.

The situation at the border in the Sumy region remains under control
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grygorov, stated that there is currently no need to evacuate residents of the city, as the defense forces and military units are already controlling the situation. Grygorov urged residents to rely only on official sources and to refrain from spreading emotional statements.
The local authorities, together with the military, are making responsible decisions regarding the evacuation of the civilian population. Approximately 900 people have already been evacuated from the border areas, receiving the necessary support and assistance at temporary centers. The most difficult situation is observed in the Yunakiv and Khotyn communities, where defenders are repelling enemy attacks.
Military personnel and local authorities are actively working to ensure the safety of the civilian population at the border of the Sumy region, evacuating people from the most dangerous areas. The actions of civic organizations and the determination of local residents in case of danger are an important element of successful coordination in difficult situations.
