Putin agrees to a ceasefire on one condition.

Agreement between the USA and the EU on a ceasefire in Ukraine
American and European allies are negotiating a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine. This information was reported by Reuters citing sources.
If Russia refuses the ceasefire, Washington and Brussels plan to introduce new sanctions against Moscow. Ukraine has already stated its readiness to accept the terms of the ceasefire, while Russia announced a unilateral three-day cessation of hostilities.
'The project is not finalized yet, but we are at the stage of aligning positions,' said one of the diplomats.
Different formats for the ceasefire are being considered, including unilateral or with a set deadline for Russia's response. If Moscow refuses, new sanctions from the USA and the EU will be imposed.
Political and technical consultations have intensified following a phone call between Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron last week.
'In communication with the American side, we felt some frustration over Russia's position - lack of reaction and seriousness in responses to previous proposals,' emphasized the diplomat.
Russia's stance on the ceasefire
Press secretary of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov stated in an interview with ABC News that President Putin rejects the idea of a 30-day ceasefire if the West does not stop supplying weapons to Ukraine.
'This would give an advantage to Ukraine. Ukraine will continue full mobilization, deploying new troops to the front lines. It will use this Time to prepare new servicemen and give rest to those who are already fighting. So why should we give Ukraine such an advantage?' Peskov asks.
The Kremlin considers the realization of the ceasefire impossible as long as Russian troops are advancing at the front. At the same time, it called for stopping Western weapons supplies during the ceasefire.
Situation analysis
Negotiations regarding the ceasefire in Ukraine continue, but the positions of the parties on the conditions for introducing the ceasefire differ. Russia sets the condition to stop supplying weapons in favor of Ukraine, which complicates reaching an agreement. The situation is difficult to predict as the sides have not yet aligned their views. The next few days will be crucial for the future ceasefire in Ukraine.
