Are protests against the AFU taking place in Pokrovsk? Local authorities exposed a Russian fake.

Information is spreading online that residents of Pokrovsk are organizing protests against the AFU. However, as noted by the head of the Donetsk RMA Vadym Filashkin, this information is a Russian fake.

«A video is spreading online with an alleged comment from me about the situation in the Pokrovska community. The video claims that local residents are organizing rallies against the AFU, clashing with the military, and therefore a forced evacuation of the population will be carried out in the community. This information does not correspond to reality», – the statement reads.

Filashkin noted that the voice in the video does not belong to him, and the information voiced repeats Russian propaganda narratives and is aimed at causing tension in society.

Let us recall that Russian propaganda produced new fakes about events in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) refuted the enemy's lies. Analysts recorded another wave of disinformation publications around the AFU operation in the Kursk region.

Also, Russian propaganda plans to scare Ukrainians with blackouts and economic catastrophe with the onset of cold weather. The Center for Countering Disinformation warns of manipulations on the topic of power outages.
