In Nigeria, militants kidnapped 20 medical students.

In the northern part of Nigeria, a group of armed men kidnapped about 20 students from the medical and dental faculties who were heading to a conference. This was reported by Reuters.
The incident took place in Benue State. The kidnapped students were of medical profile and were heading to the southeastern state of Enugu.
Local law enforcement agencies have already launched an investigation and search operation regarding this case.
"Armed gangs are causing mayhem in northern Nigeria, kidnapping villagers, students, and drivers, and demanding ransom. Security forces are failing to stop this," Reuters reports.
Recall that a water disaster occurred in Nigeria, resulting in the deaths of at least 20 people. An explosion happened on a wooden vessel on the riverbank in the Bayelsa region.
As already reported, at the end of June, a series of bomb explosions in Nigeria killed at least 18 people and injured another 48. This was likely done by Muslim terrorists.
