Strong explosion in Horlivka: Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the occupiers' military equipment warehouses
On August 11, in temporarily occupied Horlivka, Donetsk region, an event shocked the city - a strong explosion. It happened on the territory of the S. M. Kirov Machine-Building Plant.
According to the information resource 'Khvilya', the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled warehouses with military equipment of the Russian invaders. A column of black smoke rose over the scene, visible from afar.
As reported by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, the target of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was the warehouses with military equipment of the Russian invaders.
This is not the first Time this facility has come under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. About two weeks ago, the plant became a target for the defenders.
Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko, notes that the occupiers use the territory of the plant to place warehouses and military equipment, turning the former peaceful production into a military base.
Interestingly, even before the war, the Russian occupiers declared their plans to repurpose the Horlivka machine-building plant to produce weapons for the militants of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
It is also worth noting that on August 9, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked an airfield in Lipetsk and air defense radars in the Donetsk region.
