A soldier died in a traffic accident in Vinnytsia region.

A tragic traffic accident occurred in the village of Ivanivtsi in the Bar district, resulting in the death of 33-year-old serviceman Serhiy Bondar. He was on a business trip to his hometown in an official vehicle. This information was reported by 'Hromadske' citing 'Zhmerinka.city'.

Serhiy Bondar had the call sign 'Kaban' and during his service went through a tough combat path: he participated in the ATO, led a unit in the 59th Separate Assault Brigade named after Yakov Hanzyuk. After two serious injuries, he continued to serve in the medical company of the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He left his daughter Kira without a father. His ex-wife Victoria said that Serhiy Bondar was sincerely dedicated to the state and military affairs.

Serhiy never doubted for a day and decided to go protect his homeland from the enemy. Even when he sustained serious injuries, went through rehabilitation, and returned to the front, he again received very serious injuries upon landing. He could have chosen not to return to the front, but he could not stand aside. For health reasons, he was transferred to the medical company, but he knew he could help the guys in battle. It's hard to imagine that his life would end precisely during an accident.'

His ex-wife also noted that the military could not manage the vehicle and crashed into a van: 'Witnesses of the accident say that he tried to get out of the armored car by himself before the ambulance arrived, but he couldn’t. His body remained trapped in the car and had to be retrieved by rescuers.'

Earlier, there was another fatal traffic accident in the Vinnytsia region, resulting in seven people being injured. The driver of the passenger car died at the scene.
