President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will soon sign the law on the abolition of seasonal clock changes.
This was reported by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk during a briefing.
The law has not yet been signed, as this will happen after the official transition to winter Time, i.e., after October 27. The head of the parliament emphasized the importance of this legislative decision.
Stefanchuk strongly refuted the assumptions about possible significant expenses due to the adoption of the law, calling such statements unfounded. He refers to the conclusions of European scientific institutions, which state that the economic effect of clock changes in the era of modern technologies is "absolutely insignificant and non-critical".
"At the moment, I see no reason not to sign this bill," emphasized Ruslan Stefanchuk.
It is expected that after the signing of the law, Ukraine will forever abandon the practice of changing the time twice a year.
Let us remind you that Zelensky made an unexpected decision to switch to winter time.
