How many Syrians have returned home after the fall of Assad's regime.

More than a million internally displaced persons have returned to their homes
Since the beginning of the year, approximately 1.2 million people who were internally displaced have returned to Syria. It is expected that by the end of the year this number will rise to 3.5 million, reports Euronews.
It is noted that half of those who returned came from Lebanon, 22% from Turkey, and 13% from Iraq. However, more than a quarter of those who returned live in damaged or unfinished houses.
It is difficult for Syrians to adapt due to a lack of basic services, danger, and issues with documentation. The UN and international organizations state that around 7 million internally displaced persons remain in the country.
There is also a problem with a lack of funding for humanitarian organizations, which cannot fully provide people with housing, clean water, food, and other necessary resources. As of mid-March, only 12.5% of the required $1.25 billion in aid has been raised.
Recent clashes in northern, southern, and coastal Syria have led to the displacement of thousands of people and complicated the delivery of aid. Over the past two days, more than a thousand people have died due to clashes between Assad's supporters and government security forces.
The Syrian government plans to restore order in coastal areas where hundreds of Alawites have been killed. They are a religious minority and belong to the former ruling family of the Assads. Syrian government forces are being deployed in the areas of Latakia, Jableh, and Banyas, where Alawites reside.
The standoff between Syrian security forces and Assad's supporters continues, and over 1000 people have died in the last two days.
