The situation in the Sumy region remains tense, but under control
Oleg Grygorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, spoke about the difficult situation in the Sumy region. According to him, as of the evening of May 29, the situation in the region remains tense, but under control.
Active hostilities continue in certain areas of the border, in particular, fighting is ongoing near the settlements of Khotinska and Yunakivska communities. The enemy is operating in small groups, trying to infiltrate border villages and establish a foothold.
Grygorov emphasized that the Ukrainian defense forces are heroically defending the country: the armed forces, border guards, national guardsmen, and other personnel are resisting the invaders. He assured that constant communication with the military and other military structures is maintained, ready to promptly inform citizens about the security situation.
Call for residents to be cautious
The head of the OVA urged residents of border territories not to delay evacuation and to carefully verify information, trusting only official sources. It should be noted that according to DeepState, Russian troops continue their offensive in the Sumy region, and sabotage groups are operating both in the region and in Kharkiv.
According to Grygorov, the situation in the Sumy region remains tense due to active hostilities at the border, but Ukrainian forces are heroically resisting the invaders and are prepared to defend the country. The head of the regional military administration called on residents of border territories to be cautious and to trust only official sources for information.
