Secret Pentagon Document Reveals Sharp Shift in Priorities: US Prepares for War.

Secret Pentagon Document: Priority to Contain China
A recently published document from the Pentagon reveals that the United States prioritizes containing China over Russia. According to a report by The Washington Post, US Secretary of Defense Pete Geren instructed the US military to focus on preventing China's takeover of Taiwan and strengthening defenses.
The document, titled 'Temporary Strategic National Defense Guidelines' and classified as 'secret/not for foreigners,' details Donald Trump's plan to combat China as well as to protect the US from threats in the 'near abroad.' The document emphasizes that the military's priority is to defend Taiwan, as it is an extremely important scenario compared to other threats.
'China is the only threat that the department is focusing on, and preventing China from taking Taiwan while also defending the US homeland is the only scenario the department is focused on,' Geren emphasized.
The document also notes that the US will appeal to its allies to increase defense spending and take on a larger role in containing threats from Russia, North Korea, and Iran. The Pentagon also plans to intensify its fight against terrorist groups that threaten US security, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
