Ukraine accused Russia of violating the 'Easter ceasefire'
Following Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement of a complete ceasefire, Russia escalated its shelling. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukraine violated the 'Easter ceasefire' more than a thousand times. This information was published by the newspaper 'Glavkom', citing a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Russian military department's report, Ukrainian forces conducted '444 shelling of RF positions' and launched 'over 900 attacks by Ukrainian drones.'
The report also notes that the shelling affected the border areas of Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated: 'As a result, the civilian population suffered casualties and injuries, and civilian facilities were also damaged.'
At the same Time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that starting from 10:00, the number of Russian shellings increased, and the occupiers are using kamikaze drones. He refers to a report by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Zelensky stated: 'Despite Ukraine declaring the mirror nature of its actions in response to Russia, from 10:00, the number of Russian shellings has increased, and the occupiers are using kamikaze drones. According to FPV, the increase from the Russian army is twofold. The Russian army conducts the most active actions in the Pokrovsk and Siversk directions. On these and other sections of the front, Russian heavy weapons are being used.'
According to reports, from 00:00 to 12:00, there were 26 Russian assault operations.
Zelensky emphasized: 'We are recording every violation by Russia of its own promises for complete silence during Easter and are ready to provide relevant data to our partners.'
It should be noted that earlier, the President of Ukraine stated that Ukraine is ready to join the format of a complete ceasefire and will respond to Russia's actions: 'silence in response to silence, strikes in defense against strikes.'
