PFU explained who among Ukrainians and how can increase their pension by 900 hryvnias.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded that some Ukrainians can receive an additional payment to a certain category of pensioners.
The PFU press service noted that some elderly people are entitled to an additional payment of 944 hryvnias due to a deterioration in health.
To receive this supplement, a pensioner must meet several criteria:
- Receive an age pension
- Be aged 80 and over
- Live independently
- Need external care, which must be confirmed by an appropriate medical conclusion
The amount of the additional payment is 40% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work. In 2024, this is 944 hryvnias.
It's important to note that this additional payment is not assigned automatically. To receive it, one needs to contact any service center of the Pension Fund with an appropriate application. It is also necessary to provide the Fund's employees with medical documents confirming the right to such assistance.
Previously, we reported that in August Ukrainian pensioners would face a series of changes. They will concern the new law on foreign work experience and receiving additional payments in the last month of summer.
