PFU warned women: starting from 2025, this will be insufficient for pension.

Ukrainian women in 2025 must have at least 32 years of insurance experience to receive a pension upon reaching retirement age, regardless of the fact that the retirement age remains at 60 years. According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, women can retire depending on their total accumulated work experience.
For example, women with experience from 22 to 32 years will have the opportunity to retire at 63 years, while those who have worked from 15 to 22 years will only be able to receive a pension at 65 years. Special conditions are also provided for mothers who have raised five or more children, or children with disabilities up to six years of age.
Similar rights are given to women who have cared for a child with a disability up to six years of age.
One of the important features of calculating insurance experience is accounting for the period of maternity leave. For example, the Time spent caring for a child up to three years is fully considered in the total experience, allowing women with 29 years of actual work experience to retire at 60 years.
Despite internal difficulties, the pension system in Ukraine continues to operate, providing Ukrainians with pensions and other social payments. The annual increase in requirements for insurance experience is part of the reform of the country's pension system.
Increasing requirements for insurance experience to receive a pension
The increase in requirements for insurance experience to receive a pension for Ukrainian women reflects certain changes in the country's pension system aimed at supporting the working age population and increasing social responsibility.
The increase in the number of years of insurance experience to 32 for women is intended to make the pension system more sustainable and rational. This is beneficial for maintaining the financial stability of the system and ensuring Ukrainians the opportunity to receive decent pensions in the future.
