Occupants shot four Ukrainian fighters: reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Four Ukrainian prisoners of war were shot in the back by Russian soldiers near the village of Pyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region as they emerged from the ruins of a building. A video recording from a Ukrainian drone shows soldiers with Russian markings raising their weapons and brutally shooting at the Ukrainians. One of the fighters even lost his head. This incident is one of the most glaring examples of wartime executions that we have observed since the end of 2023.
Georgiy Tykhyy, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, commented on this execution, noting that such incidents have become systemic, yet each one shocks with its brutality. He emphasized that these executions indicate that the Russian army lacks discipline, as disciplined armies do not commit violence against prisoners of war. This is a war crime that must be investigated, including by the International Criminal Court, and all those responsible must be held accountable.
It is also worth recalling that Russian troops violated the rules of war and shot Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Neskuchne.
War crimes of the Russian military
In this new case of war crimes, four Ukrainian prisoners of war were brutally shot near the village of Pyatykhatky. This act of cruelty shows that the Russian army continues to commit crimes against Ukrainian military personnel and violates international humanitarian law.
From videos obtained from European military officials, it is clear that Russian soldiers, using a drone, raise their weapons and shoot at Ukrainian fighters from behind. The victims had no opportunity to defend themselves.
This incident is a glaring example of the absurdity and lack of discipline of the Russian army, which pursues its goal - an attack on Ukraine.
