In Transcarpathia, the work of two border crossing points will be temporarily suspended.

According to information, the crossing points 'Uzhhorod - Vyshne Nemetske' and 'Chop - Zahony' in the Transcarpathian region will temporarily cease operation due to the connection of backup power systems. This was reported by the State Customs Service, informs 'Glavcom'.
It has been noted that both crossing points on the border with Slovakia and Hungary will be temporarily inactive.
«According to the Recovery and Development of Infrastructure Service in the Transcarpathian region, final stage work on connecting backup power systems will occur at the two crossing points on the border with Slovakia and Hungary, with temporary disconnection of substations from the power grid», - the report says.
The checkpoint 'Uzhhorod - Vyshne Nemetske' will be inactive on May 16 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the checkpoint 'Chop - Zahony' on May 17 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In this regard, the passage of citizens and vehicles from the Ukrainian side will cease. We ask citizens to carefully consider this information and, where possible, choose other international crossings.
Additionally, it is worth noting that Polish participants of the action that obstructed the movement of cargo vehicles have ended the blockade of the crossing point 'Dorohusk'. The Border Guard of the Republic of Poland has confirmed this information.
At the same Time, truck movement through the checkpoint 'Yahodyn-Dorohusk' has already been restored after a Polish court prohibited protests by Polish carriers in this location.
Recently, the operation of crossing points on the border with Poland was blocked in Ukraine as a protest against the import of Ukrainian goods into the Polish market. The protest was initiated by farmers and carriers at the beginning of November 2023. Subsequently, Polish carriers ended their protest action and began seeking other exit routes through different crossing points.
