Actor from the movie 'Dovbush' killed at the front.


Participant in the Russo-Ukrainian war Yakiv Tkachenko, also known as a theater and film actor, was killed at the front, reports the editor-in-chief of 'Detector Media' Olena Chycherina and the Ukrainian Film Academy.
In the first days of the invasion, he joined the territorial defense of Dnipro and participated in battles in Donetsk, serving in the 128th brigade of the Tro.
During his service, he received two injuries. In 2023, Yakiv was demobilized, but he decided to return to the front as part of the Third Separate Assault Brigade.
As an actor, Yakiv Tkachenko began his career in 2003 and achieved his greatest success in 2016. He was even nominated for the national award 'Golden Dzyga' in 2018.
He became famous for his roles in the films 'Dovbush', 'Priputni', 'The Price of Truth', 'Shameful Serfs', and 'The Carrier'.
After victory, Yakiv planned to return to his acting career.
'I can't imagine my life without acting. And I fight, including for the opportunity to peacefully engage in my favorite activity,' the actor said in an interview for 'Detector Media'.
Earlier, actor Petro Velyky, from the Chernihiv Regional Academic Ukrainian Musical Drama Theater named after Shevchenko, and a serviceman was also killed.
