Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a massive assault by Russians in Donbas with the help of a 'wall of drones'.

Four assault groups of the Russian Federation simultaneously attacked in the western part of Donetsk region but suffered a devastating defeat, failing to reach Ukrainian positions. As reported by 'Glavkom', Forbes writes about this.

In December, the Russians captured Kurakhove – a strategic city in the south of the region. However, they could not advance further due to exhaustion of forces and lack of armored vehicles. Four months later, they finally gathered reserves for a new offensive. The Russian forces simultaneously struck north of Kurakhove and south of Sribne.

'Within two hours, four combined groups departed from various directions and at different times to the area of the settlement of Bohdanivka: infantry in buggies and motorcycles, armored vehicles, BMPs, and tanks', the 'Khortytsia' group reported.

The goal was to capture Bohdanivka, Troitske, and Horikhove. However, the Ukrainian defense – the 72nd Mechanized Brigade, navy infantry, and drone units – stopped the enemy. Observation drones recorded the enemy's advance, after which FPV drones struck.

The drone attack was so intense that the explosions of some units triggered the detonation of adjacent ones. No Russian assault group reached Ukrainian positions.

According to 'Khortytsia', two tanks, two armored personnel carriers, four buggies, four motorcycles, and at least 50 invaders were destroyed.

'The situation for Ukrainian troops remains challenging, and the overall balance is in favor of Russia. Nevertheless, despite recent attempts by Russia to portray Ukraine's situation as dire, they have so far failed to gain operational or strategic advantages within Ukraine', commented Tatarigami, founder of the Ukrainian intelligence and analytical group Frontelligence.

More than 15 manufacturers of drones tested their devices at the range. The fiber-optic drones covered a route of over several dozen kilometers with obstacles and simulated an attack on a target. Seven manufacturers of ground robotic complexes on fiber optics also tested their developments.
