Ukrainian analysts are searching for threatening resources and Telegram channels where photos and videos of prisoners of war may appear. Thanks to this, the Secretariat of the Authorized Person for Missing Persons manages to establish that a person is in captivity earlier than other international organizations. This information was reported by Leonid Tymchenko, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, referring to 'Glavkom'.In case of publishing interviews with Ukrainian warriors in captivity, the analysts use special software for facial recognition. They have already established many cases where a person is in captivity, although no international organization, including the Red Cross, has officially confirmed this. The analysts of the Secretariat respond promptly to new information, regardless of whether it is a video or a photo, and do not wait for police registration and the start of an investigation. They conduct an initial analysis and, if they establish the identity, they pass the data to investigators, Tymchenko reported. The police also use technical means to identify individuals from video materials, but the analytical department of the Secretariat helps to expedite this process. What should families do in case of lost contact with a soldier?1. File a report with the police.2. Establish contact with the investigator and arrange for regular communication.3. Reach out to the Secretariat of the Authorized Person.4. First and foremost, provide any found information - photos, videos, geolocation - to the investigator. After submitting a report, it is very important to maintain contact with the investigator and arrange for regular communication. It is also necessary to contact their supervisor, as working hours may change, and people do not understand why they are not receiving responses, the deputy minister explained. It is essential to contact the Secretariat of the Authorized Person, as they have access to databases not only in the Ministry of Internal Affairs but also in other agencies. It should be noted that a permanent peaceful protest action by the families of Ukrainian prisoners of war and missing persons took place near the Coordination Headquarters in Kyiv.Recently, 277 Ukrainian soldiers have returned from Russian captivity.Scientists have so far been unable to accurately determine the cause of death of journalist Victoria Roschina, who died in Russian captivity.
