Ministry of Digital Transformation explains how to stay connected during power outages.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation emphasizes the need to prepare for power outages as Russia continues to destroy critical infrastructure. 'We need to ensure communication with mobile operators for emergency calls regardless of power supply,' said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation.
Recommendations for maintaining communication during power outages:
- Make sure your operator can provide internet during power outages. If your provider cannot do this, consider changing operators. Purchase a portable battery for Wi-Fi router and a device for connecting to the network.
- Enable national roaming on your smartphone.
- Turn off automatic photo and video downloads in messengers.
- Download the 'Diya' mobile app in advance, where there are access points for charging and connecting to the internet.
The head of 'Ukrenergo' announced that our country is preparing for the most difficult winter of 2024-2025. Due to Russian aggression, we lost 9 GW of generating capacity in the spring. However, 'Ukrenergo' is developing a plan to restore these capacities.
The government, together with regional military administrations and local authorities, are preparing infrastructure, accumulating resources, and developing decentralized generation to provide the population with electricity and heating in winter. They hope to solve the energy supply problems by the end of October and November, emphasizing that last winter passed without outages.
