Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Mahuchikh has become one of the first participants in the World Athletics Ultimate Championship. This tournament will be held for the first Time in history in Budapest in September 2026. The new competition format allows for a limited number of participants: 8 in technical disciplines and 16 in running disciplines. The first list of 26 athletes who will participate in the World Championship has been announced, specifically to mark the 500-day countdown to the start of the competition. All winners of the 2024 Olympics received an automatic pass to this event, including Yaroslava Mahuchikh. The tournament is also open to 26 winners of the 2025 World Championship, 25 winners of the 2026 Diamond League final, and the best athletes based on the results of the 2026 season. The final competition is scheduled for September 11-13, 2026, with a total prize pool of a record $10 million. Winners in each discipline will receive $150,000. It should be noted that Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the first stage of the Diamond League. In the starting three bars, seven athletes continued the competition, including Yuliya Levchenko. At the height of 1.84 m, she used an additional attempt, but at the height of 1.91 m, she lost the opportunity to continue the competition. Iron Lady, like Nikola Olislagers, started the competition from a height of 1.91 m. Levchenko managed to clear 1.91 meters and set her personal season record. At the height of 1.94 m, only Mahuchikh, Olislagers, and Patterson remained in the sector. Levchenko could not clear the bar at this height, but still took fourth place due to the lesser number of attempts used. At the height of 1.97 m, Mahuchikh won against the Australian jumpers, clearing the bar on her first attempt. Patterson and Olislagers could not clear this height. Yaroslava attempted to set a new competition record and raised the bar to a height of 2.03 m, but was unsuccessful in clearing it.
