The Kremlin has massively spread the fake that Democrats wanted to kill Trump — Media.

The Kremlin has created a network of sites that pretend to be American "news outlets" and spread unsubstantiated claims that Democrats planned to kill the US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Russians create such materials with the help of artificial intelligence, according to AP material.
It is noted that a network of several dozen websites, which look like independent local news sites, spread the fake that Democrats were behind the assassination attempt on Trump in July. The owner of these sites is John Mark Dougan, a former US Marine who fled to Russia due to extortion and wiretapping charges in Florida.
The "news" quotes an audio recording of a purported private conversation between former US President Barack Obama and a Democratic techie. The voice, imitating Obama, says that "getting rid of Trump" will ensure "victory over any Republican Party candidate".
The American disinformation watchdog organization NewsGuard reported that the audio was created using artificial intelligence. It is noted that the audio recording was spread by 171 "news sites" owned by Dougan.
