Kyivstar, Vodafone, and lifecell to increase tariffs: Ukrainians comment on rumors of price hikes.

Unreliable information about an increase in mobile communication tariffs for Ukrainians next year was spreading on the network. According to these rumors, prices are expected to rise from January 1 to December 1, 2025.
Tetyana Popova, head of the Telecommunications Chamber of Ukraine, reported this and also refuted these claims.
It was reported that the reason for the increase in mobile communication tariffs is the need for operators to invest significant funds in backup power sources to ensure network operation in case of power shortages.
However, Popova stated that she became the subject of manipulation in Article 24Bізнес, which was later picked up by other publications and telegram channels. She noted that her name and position were used in an unprofessional journalistic material, to which she has no relation.
In addition, Popova emphasized that no journalist contacted her for comment on the possible tariff increase by mobile operators from January 1, 2025. Her theses from open sources were incorrectly used in the article, which were related to a completely different situation and Time.
Thus, Ukrainians should not expect such an increase in mobile service operator tariffs in the near future.
Recall that earlier, the Ministry of Digital Transformation estimated how many hours Kyivstar, lifecell, and Vodafone would be able to operate without power.
