Spain has taken decisive steps to overcome the consequences of the flood.

The Spanish government is taking decisive measures to overcome the consequences of the flood that occurred last week. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced a plan to help citizens and businesses affected by this natural disaster. In particular, it provides loan payments, financial aid for housing recovery from 20 to 60 thousand euros, and tax breaks. The total amount planned to be allocated will be up to 838 million euros.
The new aid package also includes compensation for the most devastated municipalities in Valencia, Castilla-La Mancha, and Andalusia. In addition, small businesses will receive financial support of 838 million euros, as well as tax relief. Municipalities will receive compensation for infrastructure restoration and covering expenses due to the natural disaster.
These aid measures are urgent and aimed at supporting those affected by the floods. Recent downpours have covered not only Valencia but also Barcelona, where 15 flights from the airport were redirected. Suburban trains in the northeast of Catalonia were also suspended, and some highways were closed due to the flood.
