General Staff revealed details of the strike on strategic objects of the Russian Federation on February 17.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted an attack on strategic military and fuel and energy infrastructure objects in Russia yesterday. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the successful operation damaged the Ilsky oil refinery located in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia. A significant fire occurred at the site.
The Ukrainian defense forces reserve the right to strike at strategic facilities that contribute to Russia's armed aggression. Operations to destroy the energy infrastructure supporting Russia's illegal war will continue. Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom and independence by destroying the aggressor's resources and weakening its military potential.
Additionally, the attack led to damages at the 'Kropotkinskaya' and 'Andreapol' oil pumping stations, which facilitated fuel transportation for the needs of the occupying forces. As a result of the damage, the stations were put out of operation, complicating the logistics of fuel supply for the aggressor.
It is worth noting that at night, the population of Krasnodar Krai in Russia heard explosions. Russian media reported that one of the targets of the drone attack was the Ilsky oil refinery.
According to 'Glavkom', several explosions occurred in the area of the Ilsky oil refinery. The plant managed to extinguish the fire, but it sustained serious damage. The plant has six technological units that process up to 6.6 million tons of oil annually.
