Ukrainian Paralympians Danilo Chufarov and Andrii Trusov donated 400,000 UAH to support the Ukrainian military and joined the initiative 'Zbroienostsi'. This information was reported by the Lviv City Council.Ukrainian athletes achieved impressive results at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. Danilo became a holder of four medals, while Andrii became a champion twice and a silver medalist three times in swimming.Both athletes hail from Donetsk and after their successful performances joined the support for Ukrainian defenders.'In the project 'Zbroienostsi' we donated 400,000 UAH. This became possible thanks to state prizes we received for our victories at the Paralympic Games in Paris. We are glad to join the collection, as we are confident that only together can we achieve a common victory and stop this terrible war,' the athletes stated.The Lviv City Council expressed gratitude to the athletes for their support. 'Their contribution to a common cause is yet another reminder that helping the army is a matter of honor for every Ukrainian,' the statement reads.It is also worth mentioning that the Ukrainian sitting volleyball team became the bronze medalist of the Champions Cup. The sitting volleyball tournament took place in the Italian city of Pisa with the participation of six strong women's teams from Europe.In the group stage, the Ukrainians defeated the teams from Hungary and Slovenia with a score of 3:0. In the semifinals against the Italian team, the Ukrainian team lost with a score of 1:3.In the match for third place, the Ukrainian team regained its position and defeated the Hungarian team with a score of 3:0, winning bronze medals.
