The UK government stated that Russia's frequent attacks on Ukrainian ports threaten food supplies. According to British intelligence, from October 5 to 14, four commercial vessels were destroyed in Black Sea ports. This negatively impacted the supply of vegetable oil for the World Food Program in Gaza, as well as grain and corn to Egypt and southern Africa. This was reported by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. He also stated that such attacks indicate President Putin's willingness to risk global food security, harming millions of people across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East with his war.
