Military personnel of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade destroyed seven enemy drones using shotguns and automatics, which the Russians attempted to use to attack the self-propelled artillery unit 'Akatsiya'. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the brigade's Telegram channel, on Sunday, April 6.

According to the military, the Russians detected the Ukrainian artillery unit and conducted several drone attacks aimed at destroying it along with the crew.

There was about 20-25 minutes between the attacks, and the next attack followed. There were four such attacks in total, with 17 drones. The initial strikes were made to break the protective grid - said the commander of the SAU crew, Oleksandr.

The SAU crew began repelling the Russian drone attack using shotguns and automatics. The crew commander shot down four Russian drones with a shotgun, and three more were destroyed by his comrades. After this, the military evacuated the unit to a safe location. The occupiers tried to strike the SAU with artillery, making 10 strikes, but the artillery unit did not reach them.

As a result - the machine is intact, the crew is safe. We are in a safe place without losses: no dead or wounded. The only thing is, the dog got scared - added the commander of the SAU crew.

Reaction of the 'Azov' Commander

The earlier commander of 'Azov' explained how to stop the Russian advance.

Recall that the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kyrylo Budanov made a tough statement regarding some Ukrainians in the rear. In his opinion, people who do not defend their homeland with weapons in hand and do not assist the army cannot be considered citizens of Ukraine.

Also, border guard Ihor Kataiev betrayed his Homeland. He provided data to the enemy - informed about the location of objects, personnel, and how the border is secured. Currently, he is receiving a punishment of 15 years of imprisonment.
