Without gas in the middle of winter: who is threatened with disconnection due to non-payment for delivery.

Ukrainian gas consumers with debts may be left without gas during the heating season. This was reported by 'Gazprada' referring to a new clarification regarding payment for utility services.
'Currently, the moratorium is only applicable in areas where hostilities are taking place or are temporarily occupied, or if the consumer's property has been damaged due to military actions,' experts from 'Gazprada' state.
According to the source, consumers must pay for gas distribution by the 20th of the month in which the services are provided. Regarding gas supply under the basic annual proposal, consumers must pay by the 25th of the following month.
'If the consumer has not paid for the consumed gas within 10 days after the established deadline, the supplier has the right to begin the service disconnection procedure,' the message emphasizes.
It is important to note that simply repaying the debt is insufficient for the restoration of gas supply. 'It is also necessary to compensate for the costs of disconnecting and restoring gas supply,' specialists explain.
There is also a risk of losing subsidies: 'Housing subsidy is not granted for the next period if there are debts exceeding three months, the total amount of which exceeds 40 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens on the day of application.' Currently, this exceeds 680 hryvnias.
Let us also remind you how to properly provide readings of the gas meter.
